Train - Hey, Soul Sister
nice song!
My place to spill out my thoughts or whatever... And also for my pals to learn more about me. Whatever said on this blog shall not be taken seriously as it's mainly just an online journal and I could write whatever shit I want to.
Well my toe nails overgrew and it went and scratch the flesh of the toe beside it...
and notice my first toe nail...it's tissue bled inside it..kind of what happened last time when I stood too long during my nursing posting...I got it when I was visiting Manchester...did window shopping for whole two days! My flesh and skin are really sensitive~
and yes...it happened to both my right and left toes.
listening to this song all day...loved it since i was 9 yo! And it's about the nature...as a nature lover, this song is so meaningful!

Today I finally went back to the gym! It feels great! I like the place as it gives me a piece of quiet time of my own, working out losing those calories. I feel happy. I have not been to the gym in 2 months and have been overeating like an obese and I feel that I'm turning into one of those fat British girls already!
I walked on the treadmill for 45 minutes and cycling slowly (coz my legs were already tired) for 20 minutes. By doing that, I worked out losing about 300 calories in total and I was thinking just how hard it is to lose all those calories when I overeat! I have a new meal plan for myself this weekend :-)
By exercising, it not only make us look fit but it is also good for our lungs as it will loosen the secretions in our bronchi or whatever and it is important as we would not want to have chest infections or pulmonary edema when we get older. Also, I recommend to do some coughing whenever waking up in the morning as when we lay down for a long period of time, fluids/secretions will accumulate in our lungs and coughing helps loosing them.
It also benefits other parts of the body such as our digestive system as exercising would promote bowel movement and also good for our mental fitness as you'll feel happier and generally well when those endorphins are released when you exercise. All in all, exercising promotes good blood flow to our body which is important for all our organ functions.
...the only thing is, the gym in my campus doesn't have a swimming pool :-P
just got back from accompanying my housemate shopping...i think this will be the last time that i will follow her to do shopping. It was the second time today she made me wait for 1 freaking hour trying out shoes and dressses! I had enough!
I'm so freaking tired now and not sure why, my brain is clearly not working as I signed up using yahoo account for msn messenger +_+
I need a rest, but I also need to get my dissertation abstract refined and e-mail to my prof tomorrow morning...no I think I'll e-mail it tonight right after I'm done with it...I'll do it after taking my shower....coz now I feel like I am half dead. Should have eaten more nutritious things. All I ate today was instant noodles and a whole bag of popcorn. And I feel like puking now. I will cook tomorrow....yummy spaghetti :-P
So, now I am eliminating all possible ready-to-eat snacks/biscuits in my room...and if I am really really hungry at night then I will just make myself a cup of Horlicks or Hot choc!!!
...i just ate 14 pieces of cream crackers with strawberry jam...and in total for today it is 18 pieces of cream crackers....gosh...and I also ate like 3 servings of milk and cornflakes and also 5 pieces of bread with peanut butter and jam.
I am so going to punish myself...I won't be buying cream crackers for a long long time...
Actually I started to buy cream crackers as a replacement for those Mc Vites digestive biscuits I got myself addicted to. I could eat like the whole pack in a day...so I stopped buying.
But then I bought the cream crackers which I thought wouldn't be so yummy but I was wrong...it is so damn delicious with jams! So I should also stop buying jams!!!
Should stop eating like a pig. I already have one of my jeans that is too tight for me now that I could not wear anymore...
And I was supposed to go to the gym with my housemate today but I felt dizzy eversince last night. So I slept in the afternoon instead and woke up seeing my room spinning... Therefore I canceled gym.
But I am much better now...I could tell by my appetite hahaha...
I become a successful person/businesswoman/gerontologist/whatever, I will write a book talking about my struggles in life...
Struggles? What do I have to struggle with one might think... I am a very lucky girl in terms of love, support and material needs that my family provides.
Nobody really know what I've been struggling with actually. My mom knows ofcourse but nobody understands how much it is weighing on me...nobody...but me. I don't talk about it to anyone but my mom and I hardly ever talk about it. My mom basically shrugs it off when I talked about it and for her it's not much of a problem.
But I will never give up. I will not let it set a limit to what I can do in my life. Not going to let it put a constraint on my abilities...
I could have just decided to live an easier life and not needing to deal with it.
But no. I will fight it. Bring it down. Deal with it.
just imagine how a tiny camera of mine can record such a good video in the dark.?
it snowed ever since this morning when I walked to class and it was still snowing when I was walking back to my hostel about 6 in the evening...and yeah the road and paths were really slippery that I slipped and fell just now but it did not hurt at all because the snow was kind of thick and so I did not hit the ground hard...and I think it's funny :-P
and today I finally got my marks for my two essays I did last year for my first two modules...we had to meet our professor personally this morning to get the feedbacks for our work. The first thing my professor said was that the marking system here might be abit different than what I might be used to previously as marks of 50-70% are considered reasonably good marks. Maybe he's right because a 70% for masters level would be equivalent to roughly about 90% for undergraduate level.
And there I got a 56% for my first essay and I accept it as I knew I could have done better but at that point of time it was really not easy for me to produce a good essay that I probably could have. I just attended a 2hours lesson for my diploma in nursing about gerontology nursing and that's about it...I had no undergraduate degree related to gerontology and it was my first time writing freaking 4000 words.
However I am quite happy for my second essay of 65% as it almost reaches 70% mark which would be like an A for our level. The irony is that I picked on a reasonably tough topic for my second essay. I wrote about inequalities in continuing care provision in the UK which is related to social policies! It's certainly tougher than my first essay which was about diversity and ageing. Freaking mad...but I created the topic myself as we were not given a list of essay topics to chose from this time. I'm surprised that my professor said he was impressed with my presentation on this topic...and I got a "Well done" comment for the essay. So I have to say I am happy for my work.
I just hope to keep on improving on my work as I did improve quite abit for my second work and I really wish I could do better and better and I am aiming for the big SEVEN ZERO...
After over 3 weeks long of Christmas break, I will be attending classes all over again for 2 weeks...that is for 2 modules. Full day from 9.30am-5pm, Monday to Friday ;-)
And after the 2 weeks of classes, I would then have to write 4000 words of essay for each of my module which sums up to 8000 words due in 2 months time.
In March, I will then have another 1 week of class for my fifth module (second last module :-P) and then spaced a week for me to sort things out and start searching for reading materials for the essay and also for the dissertation in university before packing my bags to fly home for Easter ;-)
I had at first planned to be back for only 2 weeks and then get back to university to start working on my essays but when I asked my professor, he gave a suggestion that it would even be fine to be back for 3 weeks LOL. Luckily he mentioned that as for now I'm thinking that 2 weeks would not be quite enough of time for me as I need to meet up with friends, do some research and ofcourse spend time with my parents :-)
I have a housemate from China who just got back from her Christmas break and she told me the 3 weeks passed by really quick. When she reached home she used up her whole first week to adjust to the time difference :-O
Well I think I would need a day for that and then be fine...since when I first got to UK I did not feel any jet lag at all. I reached about 10++ in the morning then took a nap and then instantly followed the UK timing. I think working as a nurse did help alot. When I had my night shifts for 4 nights in a row, I will the drive home back to Malacca from Nilai after my last night shift at 7++ in the morning and then felt all refreshed when I got home that all I wanted to do was to eat, watch TV, and hanging out with my mom :-P
It has been snowing quite often for the past few days and since last night there was this thick layer of snow around my campus. So me and my fren decided to build a snowman this morning!
We had no idea that building a snowman is not easy at all! So we only managed to build a tiny snowman...a lady who passed by said it's a 'dwarf snowman' LOL
We got no carrot so I used my mustard tubing cover for his nose...his eyes are made of broken pieces of leafs so does his buttons...that is my scarf by the way and his hands are twigs plucked from a christmas tree!
why my eyes automatically filled with tears when I look at my old crush's photos from facebook :-/
too emotional +_+
should listen to happy songs!
