The day in the hospital

Today my mom was admitted into the hospital to have her scheduled cone biopsy done on her. Previous results on her pap smear showed some abnormalities and therefore the gynecologist advised her to have a further more detailed diagnostic test. She had gone through 3 pap smears before finalizing her decision on doing the cone biopsy. First pap smear showed pre-cancerous cells on her cervix naming cin-2 and cin-3. Her second pap smear showed only cin-1 cells and her last pap smear showed only some dysplasia which means some abnormal cell growth. So as a precaution, my mom decided to remove the cone shaped tissue of the cervix. She went under GA today and I was with her in the hospital for 12 freaking hours. She is doing well now and discharged home by the doctor. It is a good thing that my mom had her pap smear done yearly. That way, any abnormalities can be detected at an early stage allowing a good chance for recovery.

heYa!

Well...I've done my OSCE today and there's this 10 station thing as usual. About 7 of the procedures were okay and 3 sucked big time... How am I suppose to know how much of miligram of Ampicillin there is in a vial?! I never f***ing served it before. But past is past, can't change a thing so no use to regret or feel disappointed about it.
The freaking good news is our lecturer announced that our break will be until 31st August! Oh dear...it's f***ing long rite. So I guess the plans to go to Pulau Redang with my friends will be on...yay...
I've posted some pics below during the last day of clinicals in Arunamari Klang. Will post those pictures we took with some of the doctors next...

Bye to Klang!

Finally, we've finished our A&E and ICU posting in Arunamari Klang! Though it wasn't that bad to be posted there in the 2 months but we feel relieved and happy to finally get to meet our other friends in college next week. Took some pictures on our last day with doctors, staffs and MAHSA students and will post it when I get the pics hahaha. It has been fun overall.
The bummer thing is, we heard our long semester break in july-august have been cut to 2 weeks! And there will be an OSCE (Objective Structured Clinical Examination) next wednesday!
