woohoo~!

I applied for my university's international scholarship last week amounting of 3000 pounds off my tuition fees last week. I wrote a 2 page long essay...haven't written so much for a century. Guess what, today I received an e-mail from them that application has been approved! Though only few thousand pounds, I am really happy that I'll be able to save my parents' money of roughly RM 15,800. Really glad!

Muffin

Baked my first muffin yesterday. Though the bottom was partly burnt, it tasted good. I got the recipe from internet and it's really easy. All I needed was plain flour, brown sugar, baking powder, salt, milk, and butter.

Night Shift

Believe it or not it's 11.30am in the morning now and I was awake since yesterday 5.30pm evening. Not too bad actually...just 18 hours. I've just completed the 4 night shifts in a row (9pm-7am) and I am having my 3 days day off now.

It has been okay so far working as a staff nurse. I learnt quite alot of things so far and most importantly the experience of being a staff nurse isn't something everybody could get. As a staff nurse, I now have to be incharged of about 2-3 patients per day. We have to know almost everything about the patient during our shift as when the doctors come for rounds and asked, we would be axed if we could not answer them. That includes what is the patient's current temperature, blood pressure, blood sugar, urination, food intake, medications given...etc. Yeah to be incharged of a patient it's kinda stressful but I have to say it's exciting on the other hand.

However, it's sad to say that at work, I also noticed that we have to be ready to face any kinds of human beings as so far I've found that it's at work where I meet people who can be so unreasonable, 'two-headed', selfish, and in simple words where I describe as having a 'dark heart'.
We must at all times be ready to fend for ourselves as no others will be at our side at our difficult times. Never even trust the nicest person around you unless you know the person really well. Face it, people are all self-centered. However, I must give myself a pat as I think I handled this particular person pretty well. How? Be nice to that person as you would be nice to any other people around you. Just act normal.

After 3 years of not working and now I finally get a salary again although not much just feels nice. Moreover when we are in need of the money, we feel even happier when our money is banked into our account. I'm currently saving up money for my food expenses when I go abroad. Hehe.
